Bibby’s More Good Food Cookbook
It’s been somewhat quiet here over the past year, which usually means, there’s something brewing. Besides remodelling the kitchen in preparation for this year’s cooking classes, I’ve been working on my latest cookbook. I’m beyond excited to announce, Bibby’s More Good Food is finally here. Almost a sequel to the first in a way, although lighter, brighter and very modern. It still heroes gutsy flavour agitators, helping transform the everyday into food less ordinary.
Writing a book is a lengthy process. For me, it’s two years of testing, styling, shooting and writing. It cannot be hurried. Although just food, relevance, approachability and authenticity is cornerstone to everything that earned a place within the covers. I like to think of a cookbook as a visual storytelling medium. It communicates all the sensory nuances to the reader, transforming an image into a virtual experience. Expect an image-rich body of work to inspire an intimate connection and participation that’ll have you in the kitchen and ready to cook!
Easter Menu
With Easter just around the corner, I thought I’d share a handful of recipes from the new book that would be pretty perfect for the weekend. Of course, there has to be chocolate. To that end, there are two easy yet decadently appropriate options. The first, a no-bake Leopard Chocolate Biscuit cake, possibly the most valuable little recipe to have up your sleeve, especially if you’re trying to side-step load shedding schedules. If you’re after a bite-sized dainty, the Whisky & Olive oil Chocolate Truffles are as lovely for gifting as they are on the dessert table. Here’s the rest of the menu:
- Japanese Milk Bread
- Za’atar Spanakopita Pie
- Quinoa Detox Crunch Salad with Toasted Pecans
- Roast Butternut with Miso Tahini Drizzle & Toasty Seed Sprinkle
- Paprika & Honey Roast Pumpkin
- Red Thai Gochujang Salmon Curry
- Roast Leg of Lamb with Saffron Honey & Dates
- Red Wine & Cardamom Fig Ice Cream
- Lime Curd Meringue Tarts
- Burnt Basque Cheesecake
- Blackberry Sangria
- Plum Shrub with Thyme & Rosemary
